Basically Murray and Bylsma painted themselves into a corner with the "zero-tolerance policy." It clearly wasn't a situation that warranted the kind of public shaming that they orchestrated, but they said they would do it, so they had to do. Add in Okposo's illness and they were double screwed. That was a garbage move by Bylsma.

I know a lot of people will reply "rules are rules," but i honestly can't think of a move that could be worse for morale than that. I still think Bylsma could have given him a shift or two in the third, or postpone the game suspension until the next day when they could get another body.

This move did as much to get them fired as the record did.

And I'm sure that question was posed to Murray by Pegula at their end of season meeting. Murray, however, had no answers. After the two met, Gleason tweeted this, "I'm told Pegulas were looking for answers on how to proceed, and Murray didnt have many, or any."

Say what you want about Murray, but I have such a hard time believing a GM of a major sports team didn't have a plan on how to move forward to present to the owners at the end of the year meeting.

Heck, I would hope he could have at least bs'd his way though a conversation on the topic seeing as he has worked in hockey his entire adult life.

If it is true, it is a sure sign that he had just given up or assumed he was going to be fired no matter he said so he didn't care.

there was a lot more than that

rochester

thin prospect pool

murray's trades blowing up in his face

team taking a step backwards

murry refusing to fire disco dan

when pegula's contacted people outside the organization, they were told it appeared Murray was over his head

murray had no answers for 2017-18 other than trying to make a few small trades and free agent signings

what you're saying is that bogo, despite his contract, is moveable?...and that Botterill kept him after missing out on Shattenkirk?

"Ric Flair had surgery earlier this week and he is on the mend, according to his rep.

"He had surgery and it went successful and he is resting. We are all cautiously optimistic," Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, told Fox News.

She said the WWE champion has had several close-calls in his lifetime and survived each time.

"This man survived a plane crash and two lighting strikes," she said""

yes, one return was a 6th rd pick
one would have been a useless prospect

Well said. That particular move made things untenable with the young guys imo. I don't see how that relationship would have improved

If we do somehow sign Butcher and he ends up being a stud and makes the team could create an interesting conundrum...

Scandella Risto
McCabe Antipin
Beaulieu BADgosian
Butcher Fedun/Falk
Guhle
Gorges

Not only would Guhle get sent down but you'd have to trade one of Gorges or BADgosian too and move someone from the left to the right..
